Gel Wax is the go-to material for making clear, glass-like candles that show off embedded decorations, shells, flowers, or coloured layers. This 1kg pack from Shrebhavi gives you a generous quantity to experiment with jar candles, ocean-themed candles, and decorative gift candles at home or for small-batch selling.

The wax melts to a smooth, bubble-free consistency when handled correctly, and sets into a firm, transparent gel that holds fragrance well. Whether you are a hobbyist trying gel candles for the first time or a small business scaling up production, this pack is a practical starting point.

  • Crystal-clear finish — sets transparent so embedded objects and colour layers remain fully visible inside the candle
  • Good fragrance retention — holds fragrance oil evenly without separation when mixed at the right temperature
  • 1kg pack — sufficient for multiple medium-sized jar candles, ideal for sampling or small production runs
  • Works with standard wicks — compatible with cotton and zinc-core wicks suited for jar or container candles
  • Accepts candle dyes and pigments — mix with candle-safe liquid dyes to create coloured transparent or tinted gel candles
  • Reusable and remeltable — can be gently remelted if you need to correct air bubbles or adjust the pour
  • Suitable for gifting and selling — finished gel candles have a premium look that works well for gifting, home décor, and craft markets

How to Use

Melt gel wax slowly in a dedicated pouring pot over low to medium heat, ideally using a thermometer. Pour between 90°C–100°C for best clarity. Pre-warm your glass container to reduce surface bubbles. Add fragrance oil (candle-safe, low polarity) at the recommended usage rate and stir gently to avoid introducing air. Pour slowly and allow to cool undisturbed at room temperature.

Safety Tips

Always melt gel wax using indirect heat or a double-boiler setup — never heat directly over an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher or fire blanket nearby while working. Use only candle-safe fragrance oils rated for gel wax; standard fragrance oils with high polarity can cause cloudiness or flare-ups. Work in a well-ventilated area and keep children and pets away from the workspace during melting and pouring.
